Undiscovered: Photos by Balint Alovits
Photos of the rich diversity of flora found on the island of Madeira, Portugal.
How far shall we travel to see unexplored lands? How much should we seek, to see the true faces of nature that have never been captured before? The photographs of Undiscovered encompass and prove how interesting things our nature can create. Since practically all climate zones are found on this small island. Madeira's flora is extremely rich. Special living beings, that can be found only in Africa, South America and The Canary Islands, are here on one island. The series focuses on the contrast of living skeletons, evergreen plants and seemingly infertile landscapes that still feed animals. There are no roads or paths that lead to these spots—it takes long car rides and tiring hikes to see them. That's why they are still Undiscovered.
