Seagulls: Photos by Harry Roekens
Seems like a simple setup: throw some bread in the air and as the seagulls catch them, take a photo. But it's not so simple as it sounds because the conditions, such as the weather, have to be right and according to the photographer, only one photo is usable out of the thousands he takes. Nevertheless, he's managed to capture some amazing action shots of seagulls catching food in mid-flight.
From 2007 I make seagull photos. Of the 1000 shots per shoot, I can use one... if I'm lucky. The settings are very important and more importantly is the weather. The sun must shine and the wind should not blow too hard. I prefer a blue sky. Furthermore, I would like to take nature photos, people, action, etc.You can see more of his work here.
