Eye of the Tiger on Dot Matrix Printer by MIDIDesaster
If you're nostalgic like me, you appreciate these old dot matrix printers because they make a lot of noise when printing. MIDIDesaster did some tinkering and found a way to play Eye of the Tiger by Survivor on this printer using a MIDI file that he edited. When somebody asked how he did it, this was his explanation:
Learn about electronics, reverse engineering, embedded software development, maybe some hardware description language, the MIDI protocol and some music theory (how notes relate to frequencies). Then take your printer apart, find out how it works, disconnect the original processor from everything you need and add your custom built electronics.Just brilliant if you asked me.
