Flying Through Moments, Feeling the Earth Turn: Paintings by Katherine Pappas-Parks
Poetic works populated by animals, birds, and flora that have specific meanings to the artist but are also subject to different interpretation.
When I only painted landscapes, I felt my works were too abstract. You know how people always step back to look at landscapes. I wanted them to come in close. That’s when I started including birds, cats and other objects in the foreground. To draw them in. So that they would feel surrounded by my canvases.Katherine is a full time painter and exhibits from Portland Oregon to New York City. She has been recognized as an accomplished artist who is shown and collected both nationally and internationally.
