Photographs printed on tracing paper and embossed with drawings that create ghostly and nebulous forms. The distorted pictorial images question the passing of time and the changing of the worlds which were inspired by memories of her travels.
Juliette-Andrea Elie draws her inspiration from collective narratives and personal memories. Her universe, steeped in images, emotions and myths, tends to give form to things usually left behind. She resorts to several media in order to capture the disappearance and resurgence of events and experiences. In her most recent works, she celebrates the mysteries of time through drawings and installations where the world takes on the appearance of a distant remembrance.Juliette-Andrea Elie is the 2015 fotoprize winner presented at the fotofever international photography art fair.
