A self-portrait series by Finland-based photographer Tiina Törmänen shot in the arctic lapland wilderness. The photos show the vast emptiness of this region with nothing but frozen landscapes and the northern lights above and as the title suggest, perfect for wandering around.
Cold vast emptiness but something so beautiful. This is what I felt out there. Alone in the arctic wilderness for the first time in my life. Kind of a surreal feeling, nothing but frozen land as far as the eye can see with millions of stars and different hues of the northern lights. First, I was thinking to shoot only landscapes but without the human element there is nothing to compare, no trees or buildings in distance, so I took pictures to give more feeling of the space out there. In the end we are so small and fragile in this huge cosmic buzz. People should remember that and act more with love in general.See more of Tiina's work on Behance.
