A beautiful, minimal chapel located in Zollfeld, Austria by Sacher Locicero Architectes. The chapel is made of white concrete and is situated in the middle of a vineyard surrounded by gentle rolling hills. According to the architects, "the immaculate, smoothly formed white concrete provides this piece of architecture with a special, artificial-like aesthetics and purity. Various light and weather conditions change the colour and surface impressions from a glowing, glossy white to a cold, matt white blue of the dawn, through which there are innumerable shadings and textures to be observed."
A traditional chapel has few openings to exclude the outside world and maintain its tranquility but since this chapel is located in the countryside where there's hardly any noise, the architects decided to create an open and spacious design to "profit from the interplay with the nature."
