Building facades recreated at 1:12 scale by Philadelphia-based artist Drew Leshko. The proportion is similar to a dollhouse but his treatment includes details such as posters, signage, pay phones and pallets as well as rust and dirt accumulating on the facades. The miniature wall-hanging sculptures, created using paper and wood, are scaled down versions of Philadelphia buildings in transition which have been targeted for redevelopment or to be razed completely. Leshko hopes viewers will think about history, preservation, gentrification, and how aspects of our culture are constantly in flux.
