An interactive installation entitled Impulse comprising of seesaws with lighting and sound at the sixth annual Luminothérapie in Montreal, Canada. The seesaws are activated when a person sits on each end and once the motion starts, the built-in LED lights and speakers produce a harmonious sequence of sounds and lights that vary in intensity as the board angle changes, resulting in a constantly evolving ephemeral composition.
Impulse is an urban installation that renews itself for every different audience. Each person becomes, while on the seesaws, the player of a novel instrument.Luminothérapie is on the Place des Festivals from December 10 to January 31. The installation is the work of Toronto-based Lateral Office, and Montreal-based CS Design, in collaboration with EGP Group of Montreal.
