The Barisieur is an alarm clock that wakes you up with the sound of bubbling water and the smell of freshly brewed coffee or loose leaf tea. The project by London-based designer Joshua Renouf was started by looking into the psychology behind sleep and that establishing a routine helps you have a restful night. Much like brushing your teeth, Renouf wants the user to adopt a ritual by prepping the device for the morning brew as a way to tell your body and mind to unwind and relax. In terms of features, the alarm clock boils water using induction heating, a reusable steel mesh filter, a small milk container with a bespoke peltier cooler that chills the liquid overnight, and a sealed drawer with a removable divider for sugar and other necessities.
