A wonderful short film produced by Third Man Films that brings to life the work of Foley artists—the people behind the scenes who reproduce everyday sound effects that are added to film, video and other media. The materials they use to create the sounds can be anything from swishing water, squeaky doors, crumpling newspapers, etc. The film documents the award-winning Foley team of Pete Burgis and Sue Harding who have worked in films such as Batman Begins, Slumdog Millionaire, Captain Phillips, Philomena, The Danish Girl, Ex Machina, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and Casino Royale. The short documentary was shot in the village of Clovelly, Devon, and directed by Daniel Jewel and his team to allow the Foley artists to display their unique talents.
