This ambitious project of designing an alternative movie poster for an entire year is finally complete. A Movie Poster a Day was started by designer Pete Majarich in 2016 as a creative challenge with the final poster, a moody reinterpretation of Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men, published on his Tumblr page on December 31, 2016. The idea for this project was inspired by other creative and routine-focused projects such as the Tumblr page Geometry Daily. Designing one poster can be a long undertaking, as you have to do several iterations to get the feel and messaging right, but to do one a day is a huge undertaking. Not only do you need excellent time management skills but you also have to develop new artistic styles for each poster. To wrap up his achievement, Majarich put together a video reel of all his poster designs below.
