A series of black and white photos of water towers from various locations in Luxembourg by Lithuania-based photographer Gediminas Karbauskis. Water towers are common everywhere but it seems like these towers are designed and constructed as a focal point of the community. These structures can be seen from a distance so it makes sense to make them aesthetically pleasing to look at.
One thing all water towers have in common, despite their original purpose, they make stunning landmarks in the country. They are, in some senses, the symbolical monuments that refer to industrialization. On the other hand, these reservoirs are also architectural expressions that do not resemble typical water tower designs.See more of Gediminas Karbauskis' work on Behance or at his website.
