Miniature architectural sculptures made of balsa wood, paper and cotton by visual artist Vera van Wolferen based in The Hague, Netherlands. The sculptures are enclosed in glass bells making them appear like specimens. Often, the meticulously crafted works are used for stop motion animations but each sculpture also tells a story of their own.
What I enjoy the most is working with my hands, making physical what first only existed in my mind. I never sketch before I make something in 3D, because creating something in 3D is more natural to me than drawing it first.See more of Vera van Wolferen's work on Behance.
